Rather, it's like this:
In video CO16 E 16 No07 1 an obviously talented child is asked by the teacher to attend a program for young gifted musicians playing violin. See what happens . . .

One of the Most Obscene Phrases in Any Language; the Judicial Committee
by TMS ina tribunal of religious, if not spiritual, men, whose decision can alter lives, disrupt, no, destroy, families, ruin young lives, create angst, pain, depression, hopelessness, sorrow, despair can be the job for three typically unqualified men known in jw land as the judicial committee.. my first judicial experience as a kid of 18 serving on the jc involved disfellowshipping an elderly sister for apostacy when she would not promise to quit frequenting a neighborhood christian science reading room for personal study.
my second big case involved a baptized 12 year old who allegedly stole a hot wheel from k-mart.
he admitted to nothing, answering every question with "i dunno" and was put on probation, the 60's equivalent of reproof.. in subsequent years, i "served" on committees judging accused adulterers, fornicators, thieves, gamblers, non-providers, taking up boxing, slanderers and yes, apostates, sitting also on so-called appeal committees as well.

The follow-up video
.
.
speaks about "more than 15 years of disfellowshipment", with her having two children in the meantime.
How despicable for the parents not to see their child, nor have any contact with the grandchildren.
Would Jesus accept that behavior of Pharisees or Scribes?

Dad says it's no good. Too much worldly influence. "We do things for enjoyment, worldly people have competition. - One day you will understand."
Another promising career going down the toilet.
There is not too much worldly influence - only undue influence.

It doesn't look like the mob is looking for them, either.

HTTPS (SSL security) Now Available
by Simon ini've setup an ssl certificate so you can now use https to browse the site.
this creates an encrypted connection between your browser and the server which is more secure and prevents urls visited from being shown in router logs, content can't be eavesdropped etc.... there are also some performance benefits but they won't kick in until i make some more changes.. consider it experimental for now but at some point it will likely automatically redirect you to the secure version of a page.. you can try it by adding 's' to the http part of any address or just goto the home page and browse from there (some mixed content means you may not get the fully green https status in your browser just yet though).. let me know if you have any issues using the site..

Well, yeah . . . it works, sort of.
The main page, is encrypted.
When clicking on any of the subpages, such as Forum, Topics, etc., it reverts back to an unsecured environment (using Opera v36).

Let's not forget of TOMOs advise to elders penned down and approved by the executive board.
It's a prime example of going beyond the things written:
"A sound rule is found in the words of the apostle Paul: “Do not go beyond the things that are written.” (1 Cor. 4:6) Elders do not go beyond the things that are written in the Bible. And by extension, they do not go beyond the Bible-based counsel written in the publications of the faithful and discreet slave."

So can you pray for others that are not JW's ? Or only JW's
by tor1500 ini'm a witness, so i need to know...can we pray for someone that isn't a jw.
reason i ask, once a friend of mine was going for an operation.
i asked an elder could he pray with her before she goes into the hospital.

.
Hell, yes, you can pray with and for whoever you like. . . . Pray for Obama, Putin, Merkel, Cameron, Holande, and the like. Then show him the urge to do just so in 1. Timothy 2:1-3.
That elder probably got farther in reading the "Flock"-Book than reading the Bible.
